Asbestos Removal Across Staten Island Neighborhoods

From the ferry terminal at St. George down Hylan Boulevard to Tottenville, and everywhere in between.

Asbestos Removal Staten Island works across Richmond County: St. George, Stapleton and Port Richmond on the North Shore, Westerleigh and Todt Hill in the middle of the island, and New Dorp, Great Kills, Eltingville, Annadale and Tottenville down the South Shore. The building stock shifts as you go. Older frame houses and small apartment buildings near the ferry. Postwar homes and attached houses along the main roads. Garden apartments and co-ops with shared basements. Each one hides asbestos in different places, and each one is sampled before anything comes out.

Houses and multi-family alike

A one-family cellar and a co-op's common boiler room get identical sampling and containment, sized to fit.

City rules everywhere

Staten Island is part of New York City, so DEP asbestos rules and DOB filings are planned into every job.

How the Work Runs Across Richmond County

The method does not change by neighborhood. A homeowner in Great Kills and a building manager in St. George both get a certified inspector, separate samples for each material, accredited lab results and a written scope built only from the positives. Removal happens inside containment with negative air, and independent air clearance comes before the space reopens.

What changes is the building. Single-family houses tend to turn up floor tile, ceilings and siding. Multi-family buildings and co-ops add shared mechanical rooms, longer pipe runs and more people to keep out of the work area. Every address on the island is in New York City, so DEP filings and ACP-5 reports are part of the plan wherever the job is.
